Texas Wesleyan alumna, Pamela Williams (’74), has designed and created a bust of Dr. Alice Wonders which will be unveiled at 11 a.m. on February 29 on the third floor of the Eunice and James L. West Library. If you would like to attend the unveiling, please email tatealmy@txwes.edu to RSVP.

Thanks to the initiative of Frank Johnson (’68) and Rev. Canon Ted Karpf (’70), former religion professor Dr. Alice Wonders’ legacy lives on at Texas Wesleyan. Johnson is the founder of “The Stars of Wonders, a group of alumni who meet via Zoom each month to talk about Dr. Wonders and the impact she had on her students’ lives. One of the results of these meetings was the funding of a scholarship in Dr. Wonders’ memory. The group met their financial goal of $50,000.  If you would like to contribute to the Alice Wonders’ Endowed Scholarship Fund, click here.

Wonders was an instructor of religion at Texas Wesleyan from 1945 to 1976. Read more about Dr. Wonders and her work.
