Become a Web Content Expert
Texas Wesleyan has switched to a new content management system (CMS) that gives you the power to shape your deparment's website, but we’ll need to teach you how to drive it before we put you behind the wheel.
We’re offering a three-part training series that teaches you to not only use the new system, but how to get the most out of your site.
Our CMS training program will teach you how to publish what you've created. Training is divided into "A" and "B" sessions which cover
- Introduction to Web Management
- Website Structure
- Content Editing and Creation
- Media Library
- Managing News and Events
- Workflow and Approval Process
Each session lasts two hours, and both "A" and "B" sessions must be completed in order to create and edit content.
CMS Training Dates
These workshops will be held in the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) and are limited to eight participants per session. The following dates remain for fall 2013:

Writing for the Web
To create great content, you have to know your audience, understand how to reach them and be consistent in the delivery of your message. The Web writing crash course shows you how to put those concepts into action through
In addition to the CMS training, this one-hour session is required to create and edit content.

Content Contributor Workshops
These one-hour sessions will be held in the library orientation room and are designed to be advanced courses for faculty and staff who are already approved to create and edit content.
