Blackboard is Texas Wesleyan’s learning management system (LMS) and is used in all courses so students have access to course documents (such as the syllabus and handouts), electronic assignment submission, course announcements, and more.
YuJa is the University's new solution for lecture capture and video streaming. Both faculty and students can make use of YuJa to capture video from a desktop computer or from the YuJa App.
Faculty should share videos with students via the Blackboard mashup tool. Additional features include autogenerated captioning, video quizzes, and time-marked commenting.
Qualtrics is a web-based survey tool available to all Texas Wesleyan faculty, staff and students. Qualtrics features over 90 question types as well as a library of surveys that you can adapt and use.
Hoonuit provides students, faculty, and staff access to the highest quality technology training and support resources available. Available 24/7 from campus or home, Hoonuit creates flexible learning opportunities that make it easy for learners to embrace technology and develop academic skills for success at school, at work, and in life.

Grammarly is a great service available to Texas Wesleyan. It uses linguistic algorithms to scan your written documents (including email, social media posts, essays and others) and corrects grammatical mistakes as well as contextual errors and poor vocabulary.
Most Texas Wesleyan classrooms are equipped with a SMART Board (an interactive white board), as well as the companion software, SMART Notebook.
SMART Notebook allows you to present content, save lecture notes, conduct polls and class brainstorming, and more.
Faculty can create, share and manage learning content. SoftChalk integrates with Blackboard. Users can also create activities in SoftChalk and export them as standalone items in Blackboard, or these activities can be integrated into lessons and linked to the grade book.
TurnItIn is best known as a plagiarism checker. When students submit work, their submissions are compared to content in a variety of databases, as well as to previous student submissions submitted at any subscribing institution.
TurnItIn also has a robust online grading tool. The grading tool allows users to insert comments; mark grammar, usage, and mechanics; and save and insert customized comments.
