New appointments in freshman advising and academic success

The Freshman Advising office and Academic Success Center have reorganized under the direction of Michael Greer, senior director of academic advising and student success.

Stacy Dissinger has been appointed as assistant director of freshman advising as of June 1. In her new role, Dissinger will assist with outcomes assessment, budget management and the development and implementation of retention initiatives. As an advisor, she will focus on our freshmen students. Dissinger has been with the University for 11 years.

Also, Amber Procter-Willman has been appointed freshman advisor. In her new role, Procter-Willman will assess academic progress, refer students as necessary and assist students in the development of academic plans and class schedules. Her primary focus is Texas Wesleyan transfer students. Procter-Willman has been with Texas Wesleyan for three years.
