Igniting Impact: Texas Wesleyan University’s Strategic Plan

At Texas Wesleyan University, strategic planning is a shared commitment to purposeful growth, transformative learning and intentional connection. Rooted in our Methodist tradition and service-centered mission, the Igniting Impact strategic plan reflects the collective voices, values and aspirations of the RAMily—faculty, staff, students, alumni, trustees and community partners.

Launched through a multi-phase process, the plan provides a clear framework to guide decision making, align resources and elevate student success while strengthening the university’s impact locally and beyond.

Plan Implementation and Accountability

The Igniting Impact strategic plan officially launched January 2026. Implementation began immediately, with each initiative assigned an Executive Sponsor and Initiative Owner. Key performance indicators (KPIs) will be tracked for transparency and accountability, including enrollment, financial sustainability, philanthropy, and strategic partnerships.

Divisional plans for 2026-2027 align directly with the new strategic framework. Executive Sponsors and Initiative Owners have been identified and will share updates to the campus community throughout the academic year.
