Texas Wesleyan is here to help you make your undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees more affordable. Follow these easy steps to apply for financial aid. If you have a question, contact our financial aid office at 817-531-4420 or financialaid@txwes.edu.
Texas Wesleyan reserves the right to reduce or cancel the amount of institutional/state funds awarded to students who receive other scholarship assistance, grant assistance including athletic or departmental aid, institutional waivers or other benefits that are designated to cover tuition, fees, room, and board.
As a returning TXWES student, you'll still need to follow the financial aid application process. Instead of applying to the university, we'll just check to make sure you meet the renewal requirements for any university aid previously awarded.
The first step to applying for financial aid is to apply to Texas Wesleyan University. That also means turning in your transcripts, test scores and any other application requirements.
Your application to the university tells us which university scholarship you qualify for. You're applying to TXWES and applying for scholarships. Now, that's a two-for-one deal.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This is how the government decides how much aid to give you. This is financial aid like the Pell Grant, TEG, SEOG, Teach Grant, subsidized and unsubsidized loans, Parent Plus Loan and Grad Plus Loan.
Take a look at a few things you should know.
If you are a dependent student, then you will also need most of the above information for your parent(s).

Fill Out My FAFSA |
As a graduate student, there a couple of things to keep in mind as you fill out the FAFSA.
After your FAFSA is processed, you will receive your student aid report (SAR). If you gave an email address when filling out your FAFSA, you’ll receive an email from noreply@FAFSA.gov with instructions on how to see an online copy of your SAR. If you didn't give an email address when you filled out your FAFSA, you will receive your SAR or a SAR acknowledgement in the mail.
Your SAR summarizes the information you reported on the FAFSA. Texas Wesleyan will also receive a copy of this information sent to us electronically if you entered our school code (003645) or selected Texas Wesleyan on the FAFSA.
Review your SAR to make sure everything is correct. It will include instructions on how to make corrections.
You may receive an email from Texas Wesleyan that you're selected for FAFSA verification. This means you need to provide some additional information before your FAFSA is considered complete and you can receive aid.
You haven't done anything wrong — applicants are randomly selected — but keep in mind that not verifying your FAFSA information may delay your financial aid award.
Verify your FAFSA using the FAFSA Verification Worksheets on our website or bring any missing materials to the Office of Financial Aid on the third floor of the Oneal-Sells Building.
The Financial Aid Office may ask for additional documentation.
You've applied for college and financial aid — now what? You're going to get an award package that tells you what financial aid you're being offered and how to accept it. This could be a mixture of scholarships, grants, loans and work-study.

My Financial Aid |
To receive federal financial aid, you must report any other source of tuition assistance, like financial assistance from your employer or external scholarships. This information must be disclosed so that your financial aid award is accurate.
You can accept your financial aid package online by visiting your Ramlink account. You'll log in using the same TXWES username and password we've sent you in a few emails.
Look under the "Financial Aid" section. You can choose your financial aid status by term or semester and review your awards. You can also accept or reject them all at once or select individual awards.
