Dr. Siegel Recital Lab Presentation Recap

On February 24th, the Texas Wesleyan Music Department had the pleasure of hosting Tarleton State University’s Professor of Percussion: Dr. Nathan Siegel. Dr. Siegel hosted a workshop with the TXWES Music students to talk about improvisation. He opened his clinic with a piece with improvisation to let the students hear what it sounded like. This is the 16th time he’s given this clinic at a university, but the 2nd time it was given to more than just percussionists. He invited TX Wes students Justin Talamantez, Anthony Cruz, Jeremy Webster and Ana Elisa Pereira to come up and improv with him and see how it works in regard to their instrument. The students and professors all enjoyed his presentation and were excited to welcome him into the department.
