Keith Critcher, collaborative pianist and professor of sacred music with the Department of Music, will represent Texas Wesleyan University at the College Music Society National Convention in Vancouver, BC, Canada on Oct. 11. He will be accompanying baritone Christian Bester, from Northeastern State University, as they present a lecture recital entitled Exploring the Importance of Cross Cultural Dialogue in Niel van der Watt’s Bushmen Myth Song Cycle, which is based on the South Afrikaans Bushman community's traditional music and legends.
Critcher and Bester were chosen through an auditioned process to perform at the convention. They have performed together many times in the past, including several times on this campus in Nicholas Martin Hall and in conjunction with Professor Julie McCoy.
