Maestro Eduardo Rojas, artistic director of the PanAmerican Music Festival, will lead an exciting line-up of soloists and ensembles on a musical round-trip through the Americas when he brings the performance to Texas Wesleyan on Monday, Sept. 16 at 3 p.m.
Rojas is a celebrated Colombian classical music star and virtuoso pianist, and has created an exciting orchestra program with outstanding young musicians and Tango dancers.
Featured guests include Evolution Tango star dancers George and Jairelbhi Furlong, award winning violin protégée Eleanor Dunbar, the magical lyrical soprano Sarah Davis, the PanAmerican Ensemble lead by Maestro Esteban Rojas with faculty members of the B Sharp Youth Music Program and three of the finest musicians of the Colombian Youth Philharmonic Orchestra – the highlight of the Festival.
Inspired by renowned Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel and his 'El Sistema' philosophy (‘Batuta’ in Colombia), Eduardo Rojas insisted that all tickets to this year's festival be free to the public and it is Maestro Rojas' wish that many families attend and enjoy the music presentations.
