As part of April’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Tx Wes T9 Team is hosting a Sex Crimes Expert Panel from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, in the McFadden Science Lecture Theater. 

Panelists include representatives from the Fort Worth Police Department Sex Crimes Unit, the Women’s Center of Tarrant County/Rape Crisis & Victims Services and a forensic nurse/sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE).

Panelists will cover legal and medical aspects of sexual assault investigations as well as preventive strategies, victims’ rights and services, helpful advice for reporting sexual assaults, and suggestions for keeping students and campuses safe. Audience members are encouraged to engage with the panelists during the Q&A session following the panelists’ presentations.
