April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and a Sole Survivor shoe display will be positioned around the library entrance to represent the number of college students who survive sexual assaults annually.

Shoe donations will be accepted March 16-April 1 in the library. After the event, the shoes will be donated to The Women's Center and local hospitals specifically for sexual assault survivors.

The Sole Survivor display is happening in conjunction with the campus-wide (SAAM) Day of Action event, hosted by the TxWes T9 Team April 7 on the Campus Mall. Both are dedicated to raising awareness for SAAM.
