Professor Gladys Childs, Ph.D., was the opening plenary speaker at the Lilly Conference on College and University Teaching and Learning in Austin on Jan. 5.

Her talk was on "Understanding Generation Z." Childs focused on helping conference participants gain an understanding of Generation Z’s unique characteristics, learn pedagogical tools to aid student focus and class buy in and understand the importance of using technology as an aid in teaching this generation.
