DNP-FNP program earns CCNE accreditation
Texas Wesleyan University’s top-tier online Doctor of Nursing Practice-Family Nurse Practitioner program is now accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
The program met rigorous standards set by the CCNE, the premier accreditor for bachelor and graduate degree programs in nursing. All faculty must have doctoral degrees in nursing and must be certified and approved as family nurse practitioners with primary care practice experience.
“The CCNE has officially recognized what I see every day. Our faculty are educating the next generation of family nurse practitioners in a holistic, relationship-centered style that benefits both students and their patients,” Heidi Taylor, dean of the Texas Wesleyan School of Health Professions, said. “We’re proud of the work our students, faculty and staff do to make the DNP-FNP program, and all School of Health Professions programs, great.”
Texas Wesleyan’s DNP-FNP program focuses on how to provide the highest quality health care for patients and for students as well, equipping them with techniques to prevent burnout and ensure their career success.
