Ricardo Rodriguez, Ph.D., has been named dean of the after serving as the interim dean for most of the academic year.
"Ricardo is one of the most hard-working and dedicated individuals that I have known at Texas Wesleyan. He is a teacher-scholar who leads by example and who explores innovative ways to address issues," Allen Henderson, provost and senior vice president, said. "He approaches student and faculty engagement in a caring, open-minded way and is a strong servant-leader who will make an outstanding dean of the School of Natural and Social Sciences."
Rodriguez made his start at Texas Wesleyan in 1990 and has since served as professor of chemistry, McCann professor, associate director of the Doctoral Nurse Anesthesia Practice and most recently, as the interim dean of the School of Natural and Social Sciences since August 2015. Rodriguez was recently inducted into the McLennan Community College (MCC) Hall of Fame as part of the institution's 50th-anniversary celebration in October.
