The National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE) hosted its 53rd Annual International Bilingual Education Conference March 26 through March 30, 2024 in New Orleans, Louisiana. NABE’s mission is to advocate for educational equity and excellence for bilingual/multilingual students in a global society.

Four (Sarah Rodriguez, Samantha Ramirez, Rose Muñoz and Melissa Rivas) of our Education students were invited to facilitate the professional development for educators from across the nation. Our students represented Texas Wesleyan University with professionalism. These four students are all officers of our student organization, BESO. This was an excellent opportunity for our students to network and learn from experts in the field.

Dr. Patsy Robles-Goodwin and Dr. Jessica C. Salazar presented at the conference and shared all the wonderful things happening at Texas Wesleyan University.
