Elsa Anderson, Ph.D., associate professor of education, has been named the Bebensee University Scholar at Texas Wesleyan.
The Bebensee University Scholar Professorship was created in 1996 through a bequest from the Leo Robert Bebensee Estate to honor Mr. Bebensee as a lifelong educator. The Bebensee University Scholar is expected to maintain excellence in research, teaching and service, along with a commitment to mentor other faculty members
“I am honored to have been chosen for this award," Dr. Anderson said. “I look forward to expanding my recent research in the areas of literacy instruction and culturally responsive teaching and to fulfill the expectations of the Bebensee University Scholar Professorship.”
Dr. Anderson’s term as Bebensee University Scholar will last three years.
