McKayla Munnia ‘18 has joined the Alumni Relations Office as the Assistant Director. In this role, she will provide support to the Director of Alumni Relations, Jeri Chipman, and help make memorable experiences for all members of the RAMily. 

Attending Texas Wesleyan from 2015 to 2018, McKayla enjoyed her college years by participating in two study aboard programs, being on the School of Arts and Sciences dean’s list every semester, becoming a Hatton W. Sumner’s scholar, and graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History with Secondary Certification. 

McKayla then earned a Master of Arts in History from Wayland Baptist University which assisted in her roles teaching social studies and giving tours at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. She found her way back to Wesleyan in 2023 working in the Admissions Office. During that time, she cultivated a team of wonderful student tour guides and organized large open house events.  

In this new position, McKayla is excited to help develop new ways to bring Rams together and find ways to invest in the community that has given so much to her. She currently lives in her hometown of Burleson, Texas with her husband and rescue cat. She teaches Zumba classes at Morton Fitness Center and enjoys karaoke with friends at Salsa Limon.
