Thomas Kerr

Congratulations to Thomas Kerr on receiving the Alumni Legacy Scholarship! Thomas is one of five recipients for the 2024-25 school year that will receive support from funds raised by the Alumni Association throughout the year.

Thomas is an international student athlete and his brother is a Texas Wesleyan graduate.

What is your major and planned graduation year?

My major is Exercise Science & Kinesiology, and I will graduate in the summer of 2027.

What are your plans after graduation?

After graduation I plan to stay here in the United States and pursue a career as a strength and conditioning coach. Working with professional athletes to achieve their goals.

Why did you choose Texas Wesleyan?

I chose to attend Texas Wesleyan as my brother had a successful and enjoyable experience within the school. He graduated as a business major in 2022. I enrolled in 2023.

What are your favorite things about being a student at TXWES?

There are a number of things that I like about Texas Wesleyan University, starting with the size of the school. The smaller campus compared to other schools allows the students to develop relationships with professors. Help is always there when needed. It certainly lives up to the slogan “Smaller. Smarter.”

Tell us some interesting facts about yourself.

Outside of school you can find me playing soccer. I have played soccer throughout the entirety of my life. I currently play for the Texas Wesleyan Men’s Soccer Team. I come from the West Coast of Scotland, United Kingdom in a small town called Mossblown.

Your support of the alumni association makes these scholarships possible. Thank you! Applications for the 2025-26 Alumni Association Legacy Student Scholarship are due Jan. 31, 2025.
