Although she started working in the healthcare industry, Jessica Walls ’13 always longed to be a teacher. What inspired her to make a career change was when her mother decided to go to college and earn an associate’s degree.
Walls decided to follow her mother’s lead. She started at TCC and then learned about Texas Wesleyan’s Burleson site from a coworker. A perfect choice for someone who has always lived in Burleson.
The small classes and friendly environment worked well for her – and Texas Wesleyan had the early childhood education program that she’d been seeking.
“It’s family there,” she said.
“Most students at larger colleges never meet their dean,” Walls said. “I went to Greece and Turkey with the dean of education.”
