Chris Gracela ’16 came across a flyer advertising a video contest calling all Texas Wesleyan students to express gratitude for university donors, and he felt a call to action.

“I am a scholarship recipient and I have met and thanked some of our donors, but I felt this was an opportunity to do more. For me this was personal. Saying, ‘Thank You’ wasn’t enough.”

Chris enlisted skilled videographer and mass communications major, Sachiko Jayaratne ’17, and the two hit campus filming all aspects of student life touched by university donors. The result, a 100 percent student-produced video with a simple message from Texas Wesleyan’s students, “Thank you for giving us life-changing opportunities.” Take a look at Chris and Sachiko's winning video above.
