TXWES recognized for supporting students with exceptional financial need
Texas Wesleyan’s small community approach gives all students the tools, attention and confidence to persist to graduation and excel in life after college. And once again, it’s gaining national recognition.
For the third straight year, U.S. News & World Report has recognized TXWES for its commitment to supporting students from all financial backgrounds. The publication ranked the University on its list of top performers on social mobility. The list recognizes schools that successfully enroll and graduate students who show exceptional financial need by qualifying for federal Pell Grants.
"Our transformational learning opportunities and tailored student experiences continue to resonate in the higher education community,” said Texas Wesleyan University President Frederick G. Slabach. “As our largest first-year class since 1997 can attest, our intentionally small school philosophy is taking hold and improving our students’ academic outcomes, regardless of their financial need.”
Since 2020, U.S. News & World Report has recognized Texas Wesleyan as a national university. From 2011-2019, the publication ranked TXWES in the top tier of regional universities in the west.
