Maintenance provides the upkeep and repair of University buildings and properties within those buildings, heating/cooling systems, minor plumbing, and lighting for buildings, offices and rooms. Some limited carpentry is also provided upon approval of the director of facilities.
There are two options when reporting problems to maintenance:
Emergency Notification
Emergencies consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- No power/electricity in building, room or office
- Flooding (includes overflowing toilets and major leaks)
- No water in the building, room, lab or restroom
If any of the above-listed incidences occur, call Facilities. Phones are answered from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Maintenance staff is available Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., with limited staffing from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. For after-hours emergencies, call 817-531-4911.
Non-Emergency Notification
For incidences not listed above, please use the online work order form. Work order requests are usually completed within 1-3 days, barring circumstances beyond our control (i.e., receiving parts, emergencies, etc.).

If you require services beyond those normally provided, please fill out a work order in Asset Essentials. Please note, additional charges may apply and payment of such charges will be the responsibility of the requesting department.
