Sigma Swimming partnership with Texas Wesleyan thrives
Did you know Texas Wesleyan is home to Sigma Swimming, one of the largest aquatics providers in Fort Worth? Sigma Swimming is just one of the many partnerships Texas Wesleyan works with to promote mentorship programs for children of all households.
Sigma Swimming is a non-profit organization that started in October of 2009 at Texas Wesleyan with 40 swimmers. Seven years later, the organization is now home to over 700 swimmers, multiple locations, and has never forgotten its roots, still calling Texas Wesleyan University home.
Last year, Sigma Swimming coached one state champion, taught over 1,800 children and 200 adults how to swim, graduated over 15 seniors to college, participated in or hosted community events on drowning prevention, and provided a multitude of scholarships to swimmers who would not normally be able to afford to learn how to swim.
