Center for Excellence in Teaching and LearningResearch conducted as part of the Transparency in Learning and Teaching (TILT) in Higher Ed project has demonstrated that faculty can increase student performance, close the achievement gap between traditional and underserved student populations, and increase retention through a simple intervention.
Attend this workshop to learn how to get these gains in your classes by re-writing the directions for two problem-based assignments in the first half of the semester to explain the how and the why of learning.
You will also learn about opportunities to participate in research sponsored by TILT Higher Ed.
