Texas Wesleyan University President Frederick G. Slabach spoke at Arlington Heights United Methodist Church on Sunday, Oct. 9, and discussed the connection between Texas Wesleyan University and the Methodist community.

Slabach also detailed the University’s academic excellence, makeup of the student body and the mission and vision of the University.

 “We place emphasis on welcoming first-generation college students whose parents didn’t have an opportunity to go to college,” Slabach said. “I am a first generation college student, so I know firsthand how important it is to get that individualized attention.”

President Slabach will speak at Meadowbrook United Methodist Church on Oct. 23.
