President Slabach Spreading the Word about Texas Wesleyan
One of the top priorities for President Frederick G. Slabach is to raise the public profile of Texas Wesleyan University – and one way to accomplish that is through speaking engagements.
“It is important to me that Texas Wesleyan University is represented in the community. I welcome the opportunity to talk about our outstanding academic offerings and share our vision for the future,” Slabach said.
Last week, he spoke to the South Tarrant County Chamber of Commerce, which is comprised of non-profit and business leaders located in the south sector of Tarrant County.
Slabach recently was the keynote speaker for the Greater Tarrant Business Ethics Awards luncheon, which was held at TCU. The audience of nearly 200 heard him speak about “Legal Ethics that Business Leaders Need to Know.”
In a related effort, Slabach has been visiting Methodist Church congregations throughout the region to promote Texas Wesleyan and the Methodist scholarships the University offers. His most recent visit was the First United Methodist Church in Lufkin. The Lufkin News published an article in advance of his visit.
