More than 750 students, faculty and staff members attended the President’s Picnic and Student Organization and Vendor Fair Tuesday in the Sid Richardson Gym at Texas Wesleyan University.
There were more than 20 on-and-off campus vendors – including Student Government Association, International Programs and many other campus organizations – exhibiting in the gym during the annual event, which welcomes students to the fall semester. The picnic also offered free food, music and performances by the Texas Wesleyan cheerleaders and dancers.
“We really want to get the students to know us on a personal level – that’s what Texas Wesleyan is about,” said Bradden Van Noy, SGA President and exhibitor. “The President’s Picnic gives us an opportunity to really meet the students and especially the freshman. We’re excited about this year.”
