Juan Rosas, a senior at Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School, was awarded a full scholarship to Texas Wesleyan University, but he didn’t find out in the traditional way. Instead, admissions staffers and mascot Willie made a surprise visit to his school to announce the award in person.

Willie was joined by joined E’Lyn Taylor, Holly Kiser, and Beth Pulliam from the admissions office.

Rosas will begin his studies in the fall and is planning to major in business.
