Texas Wesleyan University and Dallas College Sign MOU to Create Seamless Transfer Pathway
FORT WORTH, Texas — Texas Wesleyan University and Dallas College have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishing a streamlined transfer pathway that simplifies the process for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
In recent years, Texas Wesleyan University has received an increase in transfer inquiries from Dallas College students who are exploring opportunities to continue their academic journey. As more students recognize the long-term value of earning a four-year degree, both institutions have worked together to establish a more clear and direct pathway for Dallas College students who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree at Texas Wesleyan.
“Dallas College students are already seeking Texas Wesleyan in meaningful numbers,” said Dr. Emily Messer, president of Texas Wesleyan University. “By streamlining the transfer process, we are making it easier for students to become Rams and join a university community where they are known, supported and prepared to lead lives of purpose.”
The agreement aligns coursework, enhances coordinated advising, and provides students with a structured roadmap from associate degree completion to bachelor’s degree attainment. This collaboration ensures students can transfer without credit loss and stay on track toward graduation.
As transfer students increasingly seek universities that combine personalized attention with broad academic opportunity, Texas Wesleyan offers a distinctive model with small classes, strong faculty mentorship, hands-on learning and access to career networks across the Dallas–Fort Worth region and beyond.
“Our transfer students tell us they choose TXWES because of the personal connection they experience here, combined with the opportunities typically found at larger universities from athletics and fine arts to student organizations,” said Lauren Findley, vice president of Enrollment Management. “Since students are already seeking to transfer here, we want to make the process as simple as possible and ensure they can maximize the credits they have earned at Dallas College.”
Earning a bachelor’s degree remains one of the most significant drivers of economic mobility, with graduates increasing lifetime earning potential by more than $1 million compared to individuals without a four-year degree. Through this partnership, both institutions are expanding access to transformative education that supports long-term financial stability and career fulfillment.
Together, Texas Wesleyan and Dallas College are strengthening educational pathways across North Texas ensuring more students can successfully transition, complete their degrees and build futures defined by opportunity and impact.
