Elevator repairs and renovations this summer: Plan ahead
Throughout the summer, several elevators and buildings on campus will be undergoing renovations. Plan now if you will be affected by the campus improvement projects listed below and need special accommodations. Here is the updated repair dates. Please not the change in the School of Business. The School of Business will not be closed, only the elevator will be ungoing repairs.
- Ella A. McFadden Building
The elevator in the Ella A. McFadden Building will be undergoing repairs May 19-June 16, and will be unavailable for use.
- School of Business Administration
The elevator in the School of Business Administration will be undergoing repairs June 16-June 20 and will be unavailable for use.
- Poly United Methodist Church
The elevator in PUMC will be undergoing repairs June 23-27, and will be unavailable for use.
- Oneal-Sells Administration Building
The elevator in the Oneal-Sells Administration Building will be undergoing major repairs June 30-July 25. The east-entrance door will also be inaccessible while the repairs are occurring, but the west-side and south-side entrances will be unaffected.
- Armstrong Dorms
During the months of June and July, Elizabeth M. Armstrong Hall and O.C. Armstrong Hall will be closed for renovations.
- Dora Roberts Dining Hall
Dora’s will be closed for renovations this summer. The Brown Lupton Campus Center (also known as the SUB) will be open. The last dining service at Dora’s is May 14 at lunch.
Faculty and staff assistance
Employees who work in or routinely visit these buildings as part of their job function should contact Dexter Dews, assistant director of human resources and risk management, to request accommodations. Please contact Dexter by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 817-531-4286.
Once requests for accommodations from employees are received, Human Resources will work with supervisors to determine reasonable accommodations during the renovations.
Students who need special accommodations to access the buildings listed above during renovations should contact the Dean of Students, Dennis Hall, at email@example.com or 817-531-6504. Facilities will work with student service department heads to ensure continuity of administrative services to our students. Student housing is currently working with students in the Armstrong Halls to temporarily relocate them for the summer.
