Extreme Makeover at Dora’s: A campus improvement update from Brian Franks

04.24.2014 | By: Texas Wesleyan University
Dora Roberts Dining Hall will be renovated this summer.

When students return to campus next semester, they’ll see a big surprise when they enter the dining hall.

Dora’s is getting an extreme makeover.

"We are modernizing the entire experience," Brian Franks, director of facilities, said. In other words, Dora’s is being completely transformed. In will come newly designed spaces, tables and chairs — and with it, a brand new atmosphere created to enhance the on-campus dining experience.

Renovations will begin May 14 (the last day of dining service will be May 13) and Dora's will be closed from then until the end of July. The anticipated re-opening date is Aug. 1. The Brown Lupton Student Center will be open at select times for breakfast, lunch and dinner (specific hours will be posted as they become available).

Have a suggestion for campus improvements that is not an immediate work order? Submit your ideas to Brian on the campus facilities feedback page.
