Parking Update Graphic

With the start of a new semester, the security department wants to welcome everyone back to campus and send out a reminder of the current parking regulations at Texas Wesleyan University.

To begin, all vehicles that park on university property are required to have a parking permit. Student parking permits can be obtained through student affairs by filling out the student registration form on the security website under parking and paying the $100.00 permit fee. Faculty and Staff will obtain their parking permits through security by completing the faculty and staff parking permits on the security website. Security will expect everyone who parks a vehicle on campus to have their vehicle-parking sticker on the rear window.

As a basic rule, parking lots A, C, D, F, J, M, R, and V are reserved for Faculty and Staff. Parking lots E, I, K, L, N, P, Q, and U are reserved for commuter students. Residential students are required to park in the residential area only.  After 5pm until 7am weekdays and weekends all lots are available for any permit parking. Martin University Center (Lot B) is only reserved for visitors. Please do not park there or you will be cited. After three unpaid citations we will implement our booting/towing policy so please get your permits and park in your assigned parking area. If you do receive a citation, you can pay it or appeal it. The appeal form is located on the security website along with more parking information. Parking along the public street is allowed but please pay attention to city no parking signs and city regulations. If you park illegally you will be subject to being cited or towed by the Fort Worth Police Department. Additional parking has been added to Lot E to accommodate enough parking for students.

Don’t hesitate to call security at 817-531-4911 or ask a patrolling officer if you have any questions about parking. The Security Department looks forward to assisting anyone on campus with any questions and concerns. Officers can be seen in golf carts marked “Security” and the office is located in the Baker Building. See 17a on the Campus Map for directions.

Have a great semester!
