The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the 2018 Softball All-America Teams. The All-America teams are comprised of First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention selections and are selected by the NAIA All-America committee. Bailey Terry was among those honored.

Terry made more history to top her record-breaking junior season, becoming the first player in program history to be named to the first team.

The corner infielder from Las Cruces, NM is the fourth player in program history to make the list. She joins Stacy Head (2nd-team, 1999), Lateah Lucero (Honorable Mention, 2010), and teammate Kayla Prachyl (2nd-team, 2017) to hold the distinction.

Terry had an outstanding junior campaign, breaking the school's single-season and career RBI records. She tallied 71 RBI this season, bringing her career total to 153 and counting. She was also one home run shy of tying the single-season record with 17 dingers. Terry led the team in batting (.429), slugging (.845), walks (26), and on-base percentage (.500). She ended the season sixth in the nation in RBI, sixth in home runs, seventh in slugging, and seventh total bases (142). She was named SAC player of the week four times and was named NAIA Player of the Week on April 4.

The softball program was started in 1978 and just finished its 34th season of competition. The team made its case for the 2018 season arguably being one of the best, breaking 14 individual and team records while tying three more. The Lady Rams notched a doubleheader sweep from eventual National Champion Science and Arts (Okla.) at Sycamore Park on April 6 and also broke the single-season wins record with 42.  Head Coach Shannon Gower now has 371 wins in her 14 seasons.
