5 ways to have a productive fall break from the ASC

10.05.2016 | By:

It seems like the semester just began and now fall break is here. The semester is ticking by quickly. Don't waste any valuable time as we head into midterms. While it is important to take care of yourself and have some fun, fall break offers the perfect opportunity to get caught up in your courses.

Five tips from the ASC for a productive fall break:

  1. Assess where you are for the semester. Are you behind in a class or having a difficult time in one class?
  2. Create a to-do list. Be specific, such as read chapter 3 or review a particular topic in a class.
  3. Plan a fun activity each day for a break that is not related to course work. Go outside and enjoy the weather.
  4. Set up a study group with classmates to go over class notes. Compare your notes and fill in any missing holes. Clarify information with each other.
  5. If you are caught up in your classes, work ahead and read for your upcoming classes.

Have an enjoyable fall break. The Academic Success Center will be closed on Friday. We will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 10.
