Kelly Anderson and Michael Greer are representing Texas Wesleyan at the National College Learning Center Association's annual conference on Sept. 30 in Tampa, FL. They're presenting Helping students shine: A learning center’s partnership with AVID to promote high engagement strategies.

Anderson and Greer will describe how Texas Wesleyan University joined the AVID College Completion Project in 2014 to improve college persistence and graduation rates for economically disadvantaged and first-generation students. They're also showcasing how the research conducted evaluates evidence that AVID high engagement strategies are effective on college campuses in ASE courses and through Socratic tutorials in the ASC.
