Just as you should prepare for your courses, you should also prepare for your tutoring appointment. You will have a much more productive appointment.

Our ASC tutors share five ways to come prepared for your appointment.

1. Arrive on time. Appointments are typically 30 minutes. Every moment of that time is valuable.
2. Attend class. Tutoring is not a substitute for class.
3. Do not procrastinate. Come in for help as soon as you need it. Don't wait until 3 chapters after the math section that you still do not understand.
4. Be prepared for your appointment. Bring all course materials; including class notes, assignment and textbook. Turn your phone off during your appointment.
5. Bring questions. After a genuine attempt at completing your assignment, prepare specific questions about your confusion.
