Wisdom Wednesday: Time Management
This week’s Wisdom Wednesday is about Time Management.
It's only a month into the semester and you are taking your first exams. Are your grades where you want them to be? Are you making enough time during your week to study? Are you attending class as often as you should? Managing your time can be a big help for academic success.
Start by taking a calendar or planner and writing down all your major assignments until the end of the semester on your calendar. That way you know when each assignment is due and when you will have each test. You'll be able to plan when to work on each one. You can find all of this information in your syllabi.
Want to kick it up a notch? Plan out your study days and times for each week. For example, make 6–8 p.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday your study time. Get in to a routine and give yourself time to study – don’t just cram last minute. This helps store the information in your long-term memory.
