Texas Wesleyan Partners with Hope 4 Kids for Annual Toy Giveaway

Volunteers for Christmas Toy Giveaway

Texas Wesleyan's School of Arts and Sciences partnered with Hope 4 Kids to host a Christmas toy giveaway on Saturday, Dec. 21. The Nick and Lou Martin University Center was the hub for the event, which included pictures with Santa, free haircuts, face painting, games and lunch for several hundred neighborhood children. Thanks to the students, staff and faculty who supported this great cause to serve over 300 children in our community.

Hope 4 Kids founder Rose Braziel, who was on hand for the event. She said that growing up in a household of 12, she "didn’t have much financially, but [was] taught love, respect and kindness, and I can personally remember it having an effect on how much effort and influence my teachers would invest in encouraging me I had the capabilities of becoming or doing anything with my life." She hopes to not only help neighborhood families but also inspire others to serve.

At Texas Wesleyan, this is how service leadership looks!
