Texas Wesleyan students represented the Omega Zeta chapter of Phi Alpha Theta history honor society at its Biennial Conference Jan. 3-6 in New Orleans. Participation in the conference was competitive among the Phi Alpha Theta members at Texas Wesleyan. Only four students were selected to represent the university. Each made a 15-minute presentation.

• Meagan Morris, Venetian Interests in the Fourth Crusade
• Andrea Upadhya, The Dilemma of Defeat: Exploring the Dynamics within the Islamic World before and during the Second Crusade

Dr. Brenda Matthews (A.M. Pate Chair of American History), Dr. Alistair Maeer and Dr. Christopher Ohan accompanied the students and chaired sessions at the conference.
