History students receive accolades at 2016 Awards Day

Texas Wesleyan history majors were among those recognized at the 2016 Awards Day ceremony April 28 in Martin Hall.
Two of the awards went to seniors. Melody Arjimo was named Outstanding Secondary Student Teacher for Fall 2015 and Michale Carr received the Outstanding History Award.
Three other students received scholarship awards. Sherry Newton was named as a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar for the 2016-2017 academic year. Crystal Madrigal won a scholarship award from the Daughters of the American Revolution-Mary Isham Keith Chapter. Molly Woodruff won a scholarship from the Daughters of the American Revolution-Six Flags Chapter.
