The Music Department will cap an exciting day on the Texas Wesleyan campus on Friday, Nov. 15 when they present the annual at 7:30 p.m. in Martin Hall.
The Stephen Barr concerts at Texas Wesleyan have a long and distinguished history, spanning more than three decades. Their aim is to promote and encourage the most promising young talent available in the field of chamber music.
This year’s performers, internationally acclaimed Bulgarian duo Lachezar Kostov, cello, and Viktor Valkov, piano, are quintessential examples of that kind of talent. Their program includes sonatas by Debussy and Poulenc, the Carmen Fantasy by Buxton Orr, Introduction and Polonaise by Chopin, as well as their own arrangement of Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 by Liszt.
Make plans to attend the Rosedale Renaissance groundbreaking in the morning and then join us at Martin Hall to end the historic day. The concert is free and open to the public.
