'Fallen Goldfish' Play Reading - Playmarket

Theatre Wesleyan is pleased to announce that the original play Fallen Goldfish by current junior theatre major Dean Phillips II has been selected for Playmarket. The selected play will be presented as an off-Broadway reading at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater in New York City.

An on-campus reading of the New York-bound play will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in the Thad Smotherman Theatre. Admission is Free.

About the playwright

Dean Phillips II is a junior theatre major. His previous Theatre Wesleyan technical credits include Stop Kiss (Box Office Staff); onstage credits include When The Rain Stops Falling (Gabriel York), The Survivor (Sevek), The School For Scandal(Moses), The 39 Steps (Clown 2) and music composition for Telling Tales. He is also involved with Stolen Shakespeare Guild’s Children’s Series as a writer, director and actor. Dean is a recipient of the Haltom Jewelers Scholarship, the Dean’s Scholarship, and a Theatre Wesleyan scholarship. The New York reading will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at a time to be announced.
