Two strangers find themselves stranded in a most curious place....a forest seemingly devoid of time and purpose. Faced with a mystery like none other, they must put aside their own secrets to discover what's shrouded in the canopy of trees.

Theatre Wesleyan is pleased to announce the return engagement of the student-written play In & Between by Logan Rodgers.  This original script will be presented October 19 & 20 on the Wesleyan campus and also on October 25 at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival at TCC-SE.

Logan Rodgers is a junior theatre major at Texas Wesleyan University.  He has appeared on the Wesleyan stage in The Drowsy Chaperone, The Heiress, A Man For All Seasons, the original play Certificate of Death, and the upcoming production of Fuddy Meers.  Logan serves as the President of the Theta Omicron Cast of Alpha Psi Omega, is Head Representative for the Student Government Association and a member of Phi Epsilon Nu. In & Between is his first original production.

The Play:

In & Between was created as a writing exercise in a Playwriting class in 2013.  The inspiration….a black & white photograph of a man carrying a cello down a winding forest path.  In the eighteen months since that class, the script was developed into a short play which premiered as a reading during The Wesleyan Playmarket Series in February 2014.  From that workshop presentation a full-length one-act play was created, work-shopped during the summer, and presented today as a two-act play.

Featured in the cast are freshman Theatre major Jacob Myers, senior Theatre major Kaila Saffle and Theatre alumnus Jeremy Jackson. In & Between is directed by Connie Whitt-Lambert with technical direction by Bryan Stevenson. The production team includes: stage manager Kelsey Manuel, costume designer Kaila Saffle, set/properties designer Heather O’Donnell, lighting designer Jonathan Jones, and publicity/graphics designer Madalyn Russell.

The production will run Sunday, October 19 at 6:00pm and Monday,  October 20 at 7:30pm. We are located at 1201 Wesleyan Street in the Thad Smotherman Theatre on the Texas Wesleyan University campus. Our ticket prices for students with IDs are FREE and general admission $5.00. For reservations call our box office at 817-531-4211.
