Theatre Wesleyan: Playmarket Reading

Theatre Wesleyan is pleased to present a reading of a new student-written play as part of the department's long-running Playmarket series. The play is currently a "work in progress" and will be further developed for a presentation at 7 p.m. on Nov. 13 at the Thad Smotherman Theatre in the Law Sone Fine Arts building.
About the Playwright
Kevin Dawson is a junior theatre major. Previous Theatre Wesleyan stage credits include Blithe Spirit (Dr. Bradman), Metamorphoses (Various Characters), Manny & Jake (Jake), Stop Kiss (Detective Cole), Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (Richard), Urinetown: The Musical (Officer Barrel) and the New York Playmarket reading of Fallen Goldfish (Ermen). Previous Theatre Wesleyan technical credits include properties runner for The 39 Steps and Clue: The Musical, house management for When The Rain Stops Falling and VSMS, and The School for Scandal (Sound Board Operator). Kevin is a member of Alpha Psi Omega and is a recipient of the University Scholarship, a Theatre Scholarship, and the Dean’s List Award.
Connie Whitt-Lambert, professor of theatre, will direct.
Admission will be free for the Nov. 13 reading at 7 p.m.
