  • Shannon Lamberson, TXWES associate vice president for marketing & communications, presenting on digital marketing strategies for business owners, also followed by a Q & A
  • School of Business students’ projects and work, including presentations from the student entrepreneurship club and the nationally-competitive Enactus team, will be on display

Tickets for Startup Crawl FW are $10 and may be purchased online in advance. For student tickets, contact Professor Meghan Wright.

“This is a major event for the East/Southeast Fort Worth business community and we’re thrilled by the opportunities for networking this creates for our students and alumni,” Hector Quintanilla, Ph.D., dean of the Texas Wesleyan School of Business Administration, said. “We’re always looking for new ways to connect our students to area businesses, showcase their work, and encourage and develop an entrepreneurial spirit. This event is a win for the city, a win for entrepreneurs and a win for our students.”

In addition to gaining valuable information from business experts in the Jack Morton Business Accelerator, guests can stop by the Baker Building for a reception and to check out Texas Wesleyan’s new 3D printer, a key part of West Library’s new makerspace.

“Our makerspace is the only one of its kind in Fort Worth,” Dr. Wright, said. “It is an incredible resource for our students and the community – and we’re excited to showcase it as part of this entrepreneurship celebration. Entrepreneurs and businesses in East Fort Worth have so many resources available to them, especially through our School of Business. We hope this event will not only create networking opportunities for our students, but drive awareness of our programs within the community.”

What is Startup Crawl FW?

Startup Crawl FW is one of the signature events for Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas.  It is all about finding out about what cool businesses are being built right under your nose.  It is like a pub crawl for startups in the Fort Worth community and the resources that help them.

Crawlers will start the crawl at one of four locations that offer services and resources to entrepreneurs and startups. Participants will travel from location to location on their own for a self-guided tour of the Eastside of Fort Worth.

The Crawl will include four locations in East / Southeast Fort Worth:

  1. Jack Morton Business Accelerator at Texas Wesleyan University
  2. Tarrant County College Opportunity Center
  3. UTART (UTA Research Institute)
  4. Handley Wedding District

After crawlin' around these four places, guests are invited to an after party at 4 Color Press. The Crawl is from 4:30–7 p.m. and the after party is from 7–9 p.m.

This night is about making connections with local startups and entrepreneurs and having a ton of fun!

Startup Crawl Fort Worth is organized by a group of volunteers that have a passion for entrepreneurship and sponsored by Accelerate DFW.
