The TXWES Finance Club and Accounting Society hosted two associates from the Federal Reserve Bank on April 5, 2018. Kedra Lilly, a Credit Risk Analyst, visited the School of Business for the second time this year and brought along Natasha Gay, a Senior Associate Examiner.
The Finance Club and Accounting Society aim to provide members with access to a variety of guest speakers who share their experience and provide potential internship opportunities for students.
Natasha Gay shared her career path and experience with Federal Reserve Bank, while Lilly focused more on explaining her current role at the company. The women were very hands on during this session, giving students a chance to win prizes, portfolios, and bags after answering a few questions.
These organizations are about helping students make the transition from college into a profession. Students are encouraged to interact with professions already working in the field, strengthening their networking skills. These joint meetings allow students to listen and learn about a company and available jobs/internships.
If interested in attending the next Accounting Society or Finance Club meetings, keep an eye out for flyers throughout the School of Business. For more information contact Accounting President: Mirella Puga: email@example.com or Finance President Victoria Gallegos: firstname.lastname@example.org.
