On Thursday, Nov. 9, professors recognized students from the School of Business for their academic achievement at the Rising Star Ceremony.

One of the many students recognized that evening was Jaci Trotter. Trotter, a junior finance major, felt honored when receiving her Rising Star award.

“I always try to work hard in all my classes,” Trotter, said. “the award motivated me to exert more into my studies and future career success.”

It is students like her, who are determined, that the faculty hope to encourage and acknowledge for their hard work.

About the Rise Start Ceremony

Rising Star was created to award students who excel in the principles of accounting courses. Each year, faculty members present a certificate to their nominated students.
