Local schoolchildren, ages 5 to 10, are getting ready for school with the help of teachers in Texas Wesleyan’s Master of Education program.

The teachers have been training to be reading specialists and The Reading Clinic is the culminating course for their certification.

The purpose of the clinic is to cultivate a love for reading and writing, develop and strengthen reading and writing skills and provide students with integrated lessons that utilize quality literature and research-based best practices.
