Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend the 23rd Annual Academic Convocation at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, in Martin Hall.
The tradition of the Academic Convocation is to mark the beginning of each school year and to come together as a campus community. This year's Academic Convocation serves as the opening ceremony for the University's 125th academic year.
Frank Norwood, professor emeritus of business administration, will be the keynote speaker. Norwood taught for more than 43 years at Texas Wesleyan, shaping the lives of countless students.
Faculty should arrive in the Baker Building no later than 11:30 a.m. for lineup. Please come dressed in academic regalia, with the exception of tams.
Please join us as we welcome all faculty, staff and board members to campus for a historic Wesleyan tradition.
