TXWES Ed.D. candidate Kevin Knierim was recently featured on NBC 5 for his work teaching students at the Career and Technical Education Center in Arlington on what it’s like to run a business.
Knierim teaches the high school students about sales, marketing, calculating profits, how to develop a business plan and how to secure a loan.
"My hope and goal is that one day I'll be going in and buying products from them and asking them for a job,” Knierim said.
The class is in partnership with the non-profit group Youth Entrepreneurs, who helps fund the loans students take out as part of their projects.
